FLINTLOCK INDIAN TRADE GUN. NSN.. Cal. .16ga, 44-1/4″ part oct. bbl. “W /KETLAND /&Co” lock is a replacement to this gun. Reconversion using some old and some new parts. Lock screws are also replacements. There is a silverplated thumb-piece in the wrist. There is chipping of the wood around it and the wear pattern suggests that it might not be original to this gun. There is a brass tack in the comb of the stock. CONDITION: Brown patina overall with moderate to heavy pitting on the breech and hammer. Mellow patina on the brass parts. Wood has numerous cracks and chips especially along the forearm. Ramrod is a foot to short, butt has been repaired, sanded and refinished. 4-46154 FS494 (1,500-2,000)
