LEHIGH COUNTY KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK RIFLE. NSN. Cal. 50, deeply rifled; 44-5/8″ oct. bbl. 2-pc patchbox attached with three nails. Full-length wear plate turning into tail pipe. Appears to be original flintlock but lock is slightly smaller than the recess. Counter plate is unusual; made of two pieces of brass, one thick and one thin, soldered together. CONDITION: Brown patina over all with moderate pitting at the breech. Stock retains much of the varnish applied after the repair behind the lockplate. Action is good. 4-47213 FS684 (2,000-3,000)
