ALBRIGHT KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK RIFLE. NSN. Cal. 50 smooth bore. 41-1/4″ oct. bbl marked “A Albright” (in script). This may be the second use of this bbl as it is also marked “P-WH” in heavy stamps and has a 2-screw tang. Lehigh style stock also does not fit with Albright’s work. The poorly reconverted lock does not line up with the bushed touch hole and does not fit the stock well. CONDITION: Heavy brown patina with wear on the edges of the bbl. Heavy pitting at the breech. Facing on the frizzen has broken and the top half is missing. Several pieces have been replaced and others are repaired. Counter-plate is a fair replacement but too short for the original recess. 4-47216 FS687 (1,000-1,500)
