FLINTLOCK KENTUCKY RIFLE WITH DERINGER MARKINGS. NSN. Cal. 40; 41-1/2″ oct. bbl; including a 7/8″ breech. Bbl is marked (in very large letters) “• H • DERINGER • PHILADa •” and “H DERINGER” in a smaller die. Lock fits the cavity well and appears to be original to this rifle. It is a very fine reconversion. 4-pc lightly engraved patchbox is attached with seven screws. CONDITION: Gray-brown patina over all with filing at the rear of the bbl that has been toned some. Wood has been refinished and gives a fine appearance. 4-47200 FS699 (3,000-5,000)
