UNUSUAL FRENCH THREE WHEELED BICYCLE CIGAR LIGHTER?.

A most interesting form, the delicate spoked wheels with rubber tires suspend this pedaled vehicle. The center valise has a screw on cap which appears to have held lighter fluid or something of that nature. The front extension from the valise most likely had a cloth wick that extended into the reservoir. This wick would have been lit and more than likely this tobacco related item would have been in a store that sold tobacco products or perhaps a fancy hotel or elegant bar. There is a rear compartment that opens and perhaps this contained matches or wicks. These wicks would have then been lit from the flame and the gentlemen would then light his cigar. A very finely detailed rendition of a tri-ped circa early 20th century. The piece has its original nickel plated finish and the rubber tires appear to be of new vintage/replacements. SIZE: 7-1/2″ l.
