KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK RIFLE WITH DERINGER MARKS. NSN. Cal. 50, 44-1/2″ oct. bbl marked “H – DERINGER PHILADa” on the bbl and “H · DERINGER” on the lock. Single screw lock. Has the front screw hole plugged and appears to be original to this gun and is possibly original flintlock although the bbl has been bushed and the frizzen refaced. 2-pc patchbox appears to have been made for side pieces, but these have never been installed on this gun. Ramrod is a replacement. CONDITION: Rust-brown patina with vice marks, dents and moderate pitting at the breech. Wood is solid with heavy wear to the almost black varnish at the wrist and rear of the forearm. 4-47201 FS710 (1,500-2,500)
