Extremely scarce sign from the Meadville Pennsylvania Distilling Company with gorgeous illustration of a winged angel heralding the pureness of this maker’s rye whiskey, while seated atop a big red heart. Lithographed by Chas. W. Shonk Co., Chicago. In original gilt and gesso wood frame retaining the original Meadville Distilling Company brass name plaque. SIZE: Image: 22-3/4″ w x 33″ h. CONDITION: Very good to excellent; has vertical scratch through wing with two or three scattered scuffs to field; very strong colors and displays extremely well. There are a few small portions of gesso missing to the frame. 1-14317 (5,000-7,000) – Lot 1764
