EARLY INDIAN USED CONVERTED BRITISH FUSIL. NSN. Cal. 16ga. 36″ part oct. bbl. Lock is marked “WILSON”. Top of the bbl is marked “LONDON” and there are numerous Indian trade symbols at the treat of the bbl including pointing hands, keys, tomahawks, a lion and a branch as well as the standard London proof marks. There used to be a row of tacks along the top of the buttstock, but these have been removed. An extra screw has been added to the counter plate to hold down the rear. Brass buttplate with an etched dove. CONDITION: Rust-brown patina over all. Stock has several cracks, some of which are repaired along bbl on underside of stock and does not show as repair. Triggerguard has been broken and has pieces from three different guns mounted. 4-47497 (2,000-3,000)
