J. A. LECHLER PERCUSSION FULL STOCK RIFLE. NSN. Cal. .44, 36-1/2″ oct. bbl. Marked “J. A. LECHLER/PHILa” on top of the bbl. Lechler worked in Philadelphia from 1829-1857. Lock is marked “JOSH GOLCHER”. Rear sight is installed backwards. CONDITION: A heavy coat of varnish has been applied over the whole gun covering the rust-brown patina with heavy pitting at the breech. There is a large chunk missing in front of the lock, action is good. 4-47354 FS300 (1,000-1,500)
