Art pottery charger by artist Jean Cocteau (1889-1963) depicts a fictional character that is part man and part animal sitting on a tree stump playing a flute. The charger is further decorated with a stylized sun and scribbles of blue depicting sky with green enamel stylized flowers with red enamel petals. Signed on the bottom “Jean Cocteau 1958”. Marked on the backside “Edition Originale de Jean Cocteau Atelier Madeleine Jolly 27/50”. The charger comes with an original “Certificate de Origin”. SIZE: 12-1/8″ dia.
