*EARLY PRE-WAR COLT 1911A1 COMMERCIAL GOVERNMENT .38 SUPER.

SN 2959. Cal .38 Super. 5″ bbl, slide marked with standard 2-line Colt 1913 Patent on left slide and “COLT SUPER 38/AUTOMATIC” with Rampant Colt on right slide. Fixed sights. Pre-War frame with finger cutouts, arched mainspring housing, checkered trigger and fitted with Swartz safety. Proper 2-tone magazine marked COLT SUPER 38/AUTO holds 9 rounds.. CONDITION: Generally Very Good. Gun retains about 75% factory finish with losses from what appears to be contact with a chemical substance on the left side only.
