BEAUTIFUL W.C. SCOTT 10 GA HAMMER GUN.SN 29656. 10 Ga. 31″ bbls. 2-7/8″ chambers. Choked: IMP MOD/MOD. Full length laminated steel top rib with steel front bead, marked “W & C SCOTT & SON MAKERS & PATENTEES LONDON”. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Beautiful fiddle back semi-pistol grip buttstock with 13-7/8″ LOP over serrated horn buttplate, checkered in fine 2-point pattern and nickel oval in stock. Splinter forearm with Deeley latch, fully engraved and finely checkered in 2-point pattern. Lockplates are tastefully border and scalloped engraved. Left lockplate with a highly detailed Brittany at back of plate, which could have been the original owner’s dog. Right lockplate with a burst of scroll and boarder pattern. Trigger plate is finely scroll engraved. Weight: 9 lb 6 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of their beautiful orig Damascus pattern with a few minor handling marks. Receiver retains approx 60% orig case color, bold and vivid on lockplate and starting to tone on bottom of frame. Forend iron retains approx 25-30% orig case colors, slightly hidden by engraving. Trigger guard retains 80-85% orig blue. Buttstock and forearm retain nearly all of what could be their orig varnish with light handling marks throughout. Mechanics are excellent.
