IMPORTANT AND RARE NAZI M1940 DOUBLE DECAL SS WWII HELMET.Model 1940 Double Decal “SS” helmet brought back by father of consignor, Medical Corpsman, Sgt Paul A. Wogan, at end of WWII. German solder’s name who wore this helmet is scratched into back underside of skirt below production number and is easily discerned “SS Rolf R. Hollstein”. Quist maker’s mark “Q64” stamped on left skirt. SIZE: 64cm = Medium. PROVENANCE: Letter from son accompanies this lot, telling story. CONDITION: Generally Very Good overall.
