VERY RARE SEALED CALIFORNIA POWDER WORKS TIN. 1/2-lb marked “GUNPOWDER/UNION/MILLS AT/SANTA CRUZ /THE/CALIFORNIA POWDER WORKS,/SAN FRANCISCO.” in gold on a black label. The back label is “No2. /FF”. The lead lid is still attached with 1/4″ fabric tie running behind label. CONDITION: Gold has faded some on the labels, there is chipping of black paint around the edges. 4-47329-83 FS548 (500-800)
