*J.P. SAUER & SOHN DRILLING.SN 303993. 16 ga./8X57, 23-5/8″ bbls 2-3/4″ chambers CHOKED: Mod/full. Full length matted rib with pop-up rear sight and blade front sight. Bbls with side clips. Double triggers, extractors, non automatic side safety and safety on top which activates rear flip up sight and rifle bbl safety. Straight grip stock, checkered in 2-pt pattern with sling swivels and 14″ LOP over serrated line black HRBP with Sauer monogram. Splinter forend with Deeley release, checkered in 4-pt pattern. Front swivel attached to rifle bbl, on bottom. Receiver is fully scroll engraved throughout, particularly deep cut on tops of frame surrounding side clips and Greener cross bolt. Top lever and trigger guard are scroll engraved as well. WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 6 oz. PROVENANCE: William Henkel Collection. CONDITION: Excellent as partially refurbished. Bbls retain 85-90% orig blued finish with caliber marking added to top rib. Receiver is coin finished. Trigger guard and top lever retain most of its professionally restored finish. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and retain 85-90% older restored finish with light handling marks throughout. Mechanics are excellent.
