LARGE WATERCOLOR OF COWBOYS BY JAMES BOREN (1921-1990). This large watercolor titled “MORNING IN MONTANA” depicts three cowboys on horseback, one lighting a cigarette. Signed in the lower right hand corner James Boren, 1973 with the CA designation indicating that he was a member of the Cowboy Artist Society. The back of the frame retains an exhibition label from the Whitney Gallery of Western Art in Cody, WY where it was on display in November 1973. Another label on the reverse indicates that it was marketed through the Fenn Gallery of Santa Fe, New Mexico. This fine, large western watercolor is in an appropriate gold frame. IMAGE SIZE: Approx. 29″ w x 21″ h. Frame is 43″ w x 35 1/2″ h. CONDITION: Watercolor is excellent with the exception of a very, very small spot in the sky in the upper left hand corner that looks as if it might of been a little water stain. 4-47602 (4,000-6,000)
