SN 1149445. Cal. .45 Cal. 5″ bbl. Dark gray/green phosphate finish with Colt military slide markings. Marked “United States Property M1911-A1 U.S. Army” right side of receiver. “GHD” (Guy H. Drewry) U.S. inspectors marks on left with strong U.S. ordnance wheel marking on right. Keys pattern brown plastic military grips with all Colt internal components and bbl. Manufactured 1943. CONDITION: Extremely fine overall, with modest finish loss at front of slide from period holster use, balance of finish is excellent with traces of edge wear. U.S. military marked mag is excellent with most finish remaining. Bore and mechanics are exceptional. A very nice mid-war example. 50935-1 (3,500-4,500) C&R – Lot 1678
