JOSEPH LANG TOP LEVER HAMMER 12 GA GAME GUN IN CASE.SN 5779. 12 Gauge. 30″ fine damascus barrels have concave game rib. Bbl flatss have London black powder proofs for 12 Bore. Round bodied action has well filed fences, and top lever opening. Peninsula back action rebounding locks have nicely filed serpentine hammers. Action and lockplates have fine scroll engraving. “Joseph Lang & Sons” is engraved on each lockplate. Trigger guard is also scroll engraved, with SN on tang. Lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over scroll engr heel & toe plates. Stock has a vacant silver oval on toe line. Splinter forend affixes to bbl with forward lever. SN is on iron. Leather trunkcase w/ red baize lining and repro maker’s label and brass cleaning accessories. CONDITION: Very Good as refurbished. Barrels retain most damascus pattern. Wood is sound and retains most of a modern semi-gloss finish. Barrels are on face and tight, bores have a few scattered areas of pitting.
