AMERICAN CIVIL WAR 34 STAR FLAG. An exceptional American flag from the early Civil War Period with 34 stars (1860-62) having the stars in the canton arranged in a co-centric circle pattern. The flag measures 53″ X 65″ with a 28″ square dark blue canton. The flag is made entirely of red, white and blue bunting. The stars are arranged in the canton with a large single star in the center and two co-centric circles with the remaining 33 stars. The stars are white cotton and separately applied. A magnificent small sized Civil War flag, perfect for display. CONDITION: Very good. The flag is in wonderful condition with strong colors, a few period repairs and some small holes and areas where the bunting has worn thin. One star on the left face of the canton has been replaced during its period of use. 4-47331-176 CW (2,000-2,500)
