ERNST WAHLISS FIGURAL INKWELL.

Ernst Wahliss inkwell has figure of a young Art Nouveau maiden resting atop a scrolled tray, gazing upon a bird that forms the finial on the cover of the inkwell. The maiden and bird are finished in gold, while the tray and inkwell are finished in blue and green glaze, all trimmed in gold. Signed on the underside with crown mark “EW Turn Wien Made in Austria”. A similar model is illustrated in the book Monsters & Maidens Collectors Edition by Dr. Byron Vreeland, pg. 460. SIZE: 4-1/4″ t x 8-1/2″ l.
