SN 206837. Cal. 16 Ga. 28″ chain Damascus bbls. 2/58″ chambers. Choked: MOD/MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead, marked “HUNTER ARMS, CO. FULTON NY”. Double triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock with 14-5/16″ LOP over black serrated hard rubber buttplate. Buttstock is beautifully figured stump walnut, straight grain through wrist and opens up to a dark and dense pattern, 2-point checkering. Splinter forearm with roll type release and horn forend tip, checkered in typical Grade 3 3-point pattern. Receiver is engraved in typical Grade 3 pattern with quail and game scene on left and ducks and marsh scene on right surround by light scroll. Light scroll on frame and burst on trigger guard bow. Weight: 6 lb 14 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent overall. Bbls retain 97-98% bold chain Damascus pattern. Receiver retains 50-60% light orig case color, starting to tone on frame but visible elsewhere. Trigger guard retains 75% orig high polished blue. Buttstock and forearm retain most of their hand rubbed varnish, which may be an older restoration but could be orig. Checkering is sharp. Mechanics are excellent.
