SN 4881. Cal. 22LR. Manufactured in 1917 with a 6-5/8″ bbl and screw adjustable front sight and windage adjustable rear sight. Correct checkered diamond pattern walnut grips with no monograms and nickel silver escutcheon. Standard 10-rnd capacity with the rare, properly marked “CAL.22.COLT”. Accompanied with period leather holster/travel case made to accommodate pistol and two additional magazines. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, slight finish loss on both sides of bbl at muzzle from holster wear, with slight holster wear on frontstrap and rear of slide. Bore and mechanics are exceptional as are the 2-pc diamond walnut grips that have no cracks, very little wear and no material loss whatsoever. Holster suffers from slight cracking and period deterioration with repair to tab and missing buckle. 51034-8 TDW (1,000-1,500) C&R – Lot 1638
