*L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GAUGE SPECIALTY GAUGE.SN FWE71640S. 16 ga. 26″ bbls. 2-5/8″ chambers. CHOKED: Mod/Full. Full length matted rib with “certifiable pre-ban ivory” mid-bead and synthetic front bead. Double triggers, automatic ejectors, non automatic safety. Full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-pt pattern with 15″ LOP over serrated line HRBP. Splinter forearm with banjo roll type release and ebony tip checkered in 3-pt pattern. Receiver is engraved in typical Specialty grade pattern. Two quail on left, ducks in marsh scene on right surrounded by open scroll. Bottom of frame lightly scroll engraved as is trigger guard, top lever and top of frame. WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 9 oz. Special Note: This item contains or is made of ivory. This information is located in the front section of our catalog. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 98-99% restored blue. Rib with a few light old dings that have been blued over during restoration. Receiver is gray and has likely been polished though engraving still fairly sharp. Trigger guard retains most of its restored blue finish. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and retain most of restored high gloss finish checkering is crisp as re-cut. There is minor wood loss on left side of trigger guard and left side of frame with a bit of filler added at frame. Bores are bright and shiny with a spot or two of orange peel in left tube.
