SN FWE43047. Cal. 16 Ga. 28″ bbls. 2-1/2″ chambers. Choked: IMP CYL/FULL. Full length matted rib with brass front bead and silver bar towards muzzle end. Bbls marked “L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE / HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. M’F’R’S FULTON, NY., USA”. Double triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock with 13-7/8″ LOP over serrated black hard rubber buttplate. Checkered in classic 2-point pattern. Splinter forend with banjo roll type forearm release and triangular ebony tip. Engraved in traditional specialty pattern with 2 quail on left, large goose on right, surrounded by open scroll. Top and bottom of frame lightly scrolled, as is trigger guard bow. Weight: 6 lb 8 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent, as partially refurbished. Bbls retain nearly all of a high quality restored finish with light handling marks. Buttstock and forend have been restored and retain nearly all their custom finish. There is a repaired grain check on left side of forearm near frame. Checkering is sharp. Receiver retains 35-40% orig case color, mostly on side plates, toned on bottom. Trigger guard retains 85-90% of what is likely an older restored blue. Mechanics are excellent. Bores are excellent, left bbl with minor orange peel. 49531-29 JSL145 C&R (1,500-2,500) – Lot 1637
