OUTSTANDING FOLK ART CARVED TOTEM.

This interesting well executed carved totem has a rectangular base with two inset carved panels with captions, one of adult and baby bear captioned “MOTHER BEAR ON GUARD WHEN CUBS PLAY”, the other with lion and cubs captioned “THE KING LION BABYSITS”. The inset panels have a gold border and flanked by spiral block end posts. The top edge of the base signed on each side by the maker “Allen Van Hoecke Chehalis Wn”. The next element of the totem is a square box with carved inset element, the box having two pig heads. On top of the box is an 8″, 1-1/4″ square column with a carved mystery ball and a number of other balls within a carved cross element, three captions circling “IN GOD WE TRUST”, “GOD BLESS AMERICA HOME SWEET HOME” and “LIFE LOVE TIME GAME”.
