“L. CERONE SHOS REPAIRED NEATLY DONE” TRADE SIGN.Circa 19th century, NY. Sheet zinc. Original paint. Small amusingly misspelled sign, chrome yellow against a black background, upper rows letters with red shadow highlights. Meandering scrolled vine, central area, with pointing finger, lower right. Retains old hanging chains. Backside impressed “German American Insurance Company, New York”, evidently indicating prior use of metal panel. SIZE: 9″ x 12″.
