SN 1534. Cal. 22. 10″ bbl. Dark pre-war blue finish overall with 2-pc walnut smooth grips with deep dish Smith & Wesson medallions. Patridge front sight with adjustable outdoorsman pattern rear sight. Checkered target trigger. Cased in appropriate blue steel, velvet lined fitted casing with accessories. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jim Baldwin. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine overall, with very minor traces of blue wear on edges on frame and muzzle. Slight finish loss at heel of butt and leading edge of front strap. Bore and breech face show no signs of actual use. Mechanically excellent. Grips are very fine and numbered to match very slight varnish loss exists but grips are excellent with no cracks or damage. Blue steel casing is equally fine with good green lining and complete with cleaning rod, and mechanical turnscrew. Cleaning rod has minor chips at top of handle, turnscrew is as contemporary patterned. Exterior of case is extremely fine with little evidence of finish loss and only slight wear at corners and bottom from storage. 50975-3 TDW (1,750-2,500) C&R – Lot 1615
