*WONDERFUL A.H. FOX AE GRADE 16 GA SPECIAL.SN 303673. Cal. 16 Ga. 28″ bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked: MOD / FULL. Full length matted rib with steel front bead. No. 3 weight bbls. Frame marked “AE GRADE/16 GAUGE”. Double nickel plated triggers, auto ejectors, automatic safety. Full cap pistol grip stock with 14″ LOP over serrated hard rubber buttplate. Splinter forend engraved in typical late A Grade pattern with shaded floral engraving covering around 50% of receiver. Checkered in standard XE Grade pattern as documented in factory letter. Weight: 6 lb 6 oz. PROVENANCE: Accompanied by a J.T. Callahan letter confirming the current configuration and special features, including X Grade wood and checkering. Also accompanied by the orig end label to the shipping box this gun was orig delivered in and orig hang tags. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine. Bbls retain virtually all of their orig factory blue, as does the trigger guard. Receiver retains 98-99% dark bold and vivid orig case color throughout. Buttstock and forend are extremely fine with minor handling marks throughout but retain nearly all their orig varnish. Bores bright and shiny. Mechanics excellent.
