LARGE CARVED TUNA TRADE SIGN.

Mid 20th century or earlier. This fine two sided folk art fish sign with brightly polychrome painted surfaces, carved from the solid. SIZE: Approximately 40″ h. 75″ l. PROVENANCE: Pleasant Point, NJ Restaurant. CONDITION: The weathered surfaces with losses to paint, dorsal fin with some repair, there are 4 square holes in the body of the sign which may have been present before the object was carved.
