COLT 1871-72 OPEN-TOP REVOLVER. SN 331, matching except wedge which has no number, and loading gate 288. Cal. .44RF, 7-1/2″ round bbl. 2-line “COLTS/PATENT” marking on the left side of the frame. CONDITION: Gray-brown patina overall, traces of silver on triggerguard, some light pitting at the front of the bbl and cylinder. Ivory grips have natural age cracks but are still solid and are slightly small on this gun. 4-47144 FS426 (2,000-3,000)
