NATIONAL CHEWING GUM AND COLUMBUS VENDING MACHINES.

A rather slim wall hanging tin gum machine circa 1910-1920 period. Painted in dark green with a plethora of gold and red highlighting and lettering. Very simplistic mechanism; when a coin is placed in a slot lever would be pushed in and a piece of gum would be dispensed. The Columbus Gum Machine appears to be a model A one cent gum dispenser that has been restored. Globe with embossed Columbus logo appears to be of newer vintage and decal is in poor condition, otherwise machine is in working order. SIZE: Approx 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ x 17″ h, and 16″ h. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Richard J. Miller. CONDITION: National Chewing Gum Machine could use a good cleaning to brighten overall appearance, it appears to have some minor fading, scuffing and corrosion. Columbus has had a fair overall restoration. 1-15107 (250-450) – Lot 1609
