*EXCEPTIONALLY FINE L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE 20 GAUGE.SN FWE 138501. Cal. 20 ga. 28″ Steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked mod/full. Full length tapered matted rib with brass front bead, right tube marked “L.C. Smith – Specialty Grade”. Featherweight marked frame. Dbl triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-1/8″ LOP over serrated lined hard rubber buttplate. Splinter forearm with roll type release and ebony tip checkered in 3-point pattern. Receiver is tastefully engraved in standard L.C. Smith Specialty Grade pattern, flying duck in marsh scene on right, quail on left, surrounded by light scroll. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 7oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain nearly all of their original blue. Receiver retains 95-97% strong original case color just starting to tone on bottom of frame. Trigger guard and forearm iron retain 90%+ original blued finish just starting to tone from handling. Forearm retains nearly all of its original hand rubbed finish with crisp checkering. Buttstock with beautiful grain pattern rates excellent plus, perhaps with a little added finish for conservation throughout the years. Original polish marks visible at breech end of bbls.
