POSSIBLE WELLS FARGO USED COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. SN 108904. Cal. .44-40, 7-1/2″ round bbl. This very gun is included in Graham, Kopec & Moore’s book “Colt Single Action Army Revolvers” on page 53. At the time, it was illustrated with a silver monogrammed holster and letter (not included now). The “monogrammed presentation shield marked Wells Fargo & Co. Express 1893. The letter is addressed to Special Agent Bradley, Huron, South Dakota. Marked “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” on an etched panel on the left side of the bbl. Pearl grips. Cylinder has been re-nickeled. Cylinder pin has been replaced. CONDITION: 75% flaking nickel on the bbl with file marks and dents at the rear, 90% original nickel on the frame, 50% on the backstrap and triggerguard. Pearl grips are fine but are unmarked. Triggerguard pin was removed so the grips could be installed. 4-47168 (3,000-4,000)
