DAUM CAMEO AND ENAMELED TSAR’S CUP.

Daum tsar’s cup has wide cameo band of scrolling lines with a center cartouche on front and back of cup. The cameo decoration is highlighted by gilt trim in the background. The front cartouche has red enameled initials against a beaded and gilt background with a small oval below the cartouche, enameled with the date “1896”. The cartouche on the back of the cup is an enameled black double eagle with coats of arms. Written on the underside of the cup in gold “Tsar Nicholas III Goblet du Couronnement Fac Simile Daum Nancy ” with the Cross of Lorraine Fecit 1896. They are all set against an opalescent glass background. SIZE: 4″ t. CONDITION: Some minor wear to gilt lettering on bottom of cup, otherwise very good to excellent. 52018-9 (5,000-7,000) – Lot 1600
