*SCARCE ITHACA FIELD GRADE 28 GAUGE.SN 234803. Cal. 28 ga. 28″ bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked imp cyl/full. Full length matted rib with brass front bead, both tubes marked “Krupp Fluid Steel”. Dbl triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-1/8″ LOP over Ithaca Gun Co., “Flying Turkey” logo buttplate. Splinter forearm with push button release checkered in 3-point pattern. Receiver stamped with setter on both sides and marked “Ithaca Gun Co. Ithaca N.Y.” WEIGHT: 5lbs. 4oz. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 90-95% what appears to be their original blue finish. Buttstock and forearm have been expertly refinished, checkering is sharp. Trigger guard retains 40-50% toning original blue. Receiver retains 40-50% light original case colors. Bore is very good with minor orange peel. Mechanics are crisp. A scarce little small bore Ithaca. 50017-41 JSL30 C&R (4,000-6,000) – Lot 1591
