SN 2146a. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl dull blue finish slide with matching frame and military polish barrel. Matching numbers through out. Stack Date “BYF over 42”. Correct brownish Bakelite 2 piece grips. Waffen 135 inspection found slide barrel frame and locking lug. Early “a” series stack date P.38 pistols are difficult to find in fine condition as they were relatively early war and hard used. CONDITION: Very fine overall with excellent bright shiny bore and crisp action. Finish, although showing slight minimal wear, is very fine. Front strap finish is worn thin with about 50% remaining. Frame has slight finish wear at forward edges of and surrounding take down latch.
