*WINCHESTER HI-WALL TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 32-40. Standard grade rifle with 30″ No. 3 weight oct. bbl, globe front sight, slot blank in the rear dovetail with a Model 1892/94 locking tang sight with large disk. Top flat of the bbl has factory original target blocks. The bbl proof and cal. are stamped on the left upper flat. Receiver has single set trigger. Wood is straight grain walnut with black schnable tipped uncheckered forearm and straight stock with nickeled Swiss buttplate. SN 88943. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 94-95% strong bright original blue with light edge wear and some loss of finish about mid-point. Receiver retains about 80% original finish, flaked thin on both sides with some light pitting on the left side. Wood is sound with the forearm retaining about 85% original varnish and the buttstock about 95% with light handling and use marks. Buttplate retains about 95% original nickel, dull on the outer edges. Strong bore with some shine, dark in the grooves. 4-47057 JR460 (2,000-3,000)
