20th century, Asia. The lot consisting of Japanese blue and white teawares each decorated with children chasing a butterfly. Together with a Chinese porcelain statue of a parrot finished in Famille Verte enamels. Five of the six jars decorated in underglaze blue with blossoming prunus each having a dome cover. Together with a monochrome blue glazed covered jar. SIZE: Teapot 7-1/2″ dia. Plates 6-1/2″ and 5-1/2″ dia. Parrot 8″ t. Prunus from 8-3/4″ down to 3″ h. Monochrome 13-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Teawares very good. Parrot with crack through body. Prunus jars all very good, one cover with chip to underside.
