SN 8604. Cal. 22 LR/.44 Shot. 15″ bbl. This seldom found specimen of the Game Getter was manufactured by “The Marble Safety Axe Co.” and is so marked on left side. Gun retains it’s orig Gutta-percha grips and orig rear sight. Tip open action and swing-out stock loop function properly with exception that stock locking tab not present. Firer can select which bbl to fire by manually actuating the selector on the hammer. This weapon appears functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible as under the classification Any Other Weapon (AOW). CONDITION: Overall appearance is very good, about 60% blue on bbl tubes turning to gray/brown patina with more finish in recessed areas, significantly more finish about 80% on receiver portion turning to gray patina at the high points. Grips are somewhat worn with a couple noticeable chips and cracked through on right side through upper escutcheon with a sliver missing at the base of left grip. About 70% case color remaining on hammer, with case mostly faded from trigger. Trigger guard has a small dime sized area of old corrosion on the outer side below the trigger. .22 bore is excellent, shiny and bright, .44 bore has some frosting yet retains its shine.
