MONUMENTAL PAIR OF BRONZE ENTRY DOORS.2nd half 19th century, Portland ME. Each door with simulated riveting in alternating rows. The upper long panel cast with a stylized branch of geometric acanthus leaves within rectangular borders, all within a deep molded frame cast with guilloches. The lower square panel cast with an arrangement of interlocking circles and ellipses within flattened circle border within deep frame cast with guilloches. SIZE: 106″ h x 29-1/2″ w each. CONDITION: Doors are mostly intact, panels have slight separation from core at edges, surface abrasions resulting from removal from building but largely cosmetic.
