Daum cylindrical jar is decorated with cameo thistle branches and blossoms with gilded and enameled details, all against an acid-textured amethyst background. Vase is further decorated with heavily gilded and enameled collar and glass lid having decoration of matching thistle vines and blossoms on a stippled gilt background. Signed on the underside with gilt “Daum Nancy” and Cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 4″ t. PROVENANCE: Rudd Collection, Chicago IL. CONDITION: Very good with very minor wear to gilding on edges, underside of lid has minuscule nicks from age and use. 51894-35 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 1561
