*WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LIGHTWEIGHT TAKEDOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. Late Model standard grade rifle with 22″ tapered round bbl, pedestal front sight with ivory bead hunting insert, slot blank in rear dovetail with Lyman Model 21 long side sight. Half-magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and black hard rubber shotgun buttplate. SN 137020. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains 20-30% original blue with the balance a blue-gray patina. Receiver retains 50-60% strong original blue, silver on the top and bottom, thin on sides. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish. Bright shiny bore. 4-46989 JR375 (1,250-1,750)
