WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 Short. Standard grade rifle with 24″ round bbl, full magazine, standard front sight, slot blank in rear dovetail with a fine early thick base short range tang sight, not designed for this rifle. Uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 218237. CONDITION: Good. Bbl and mag tube retain most of an old re-blue with scattered fine pitting. Bbl address is thin but legible. Receiver has traces of original finish in sheltered areas around the sideplates but is mostly a dark brown patina. Forearm is cracked down the bottom with a chip out of the left bbl channel and the wood has most of a refinish. Poor, dark bore. 4-46152 JR384 (750-1,250)
