QUEEN ANNE SCREW CANNON BARREL BOXLOCK FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOL BY FARMER & GALTON.SN NSN. Cal. 40 bore. (.440 Bore diameter) 2″ Barrel 8″ overall. Boxlock action engraved with scroll and stand-of-arms, has proofs on bottom. Makers name is on right side (Farmer & Galton working 1746 – 1748 in Birmingham). Bulbous bag grip with unhallmarked silver cap has chinoiserie wire inlay with floral highlights. Fine silver relief cast crest plate at top of grip is engraved with rampant lion under a star.
