EIGHTEENTH CENTURY ENGLISH TINDER LIGHTER AND FLINTLOCK POWDER TESTER.

1) 18th century “BURGON, LONDON” marked brass tinder lighter with attached candlestick holder. 7″ l x 5″ t. 2) 18th century style powder tester, probably European with measuring wheel numbered 1-12 on each ratchet. Engraved lock shows figure blowing a horn, brass trigger guard and lock escutcheon plate. CONDITION: 1) Very good to fine overall, complete and functional. 2) Very good overall, stock re-finished, metal gray with pitting, otherwise appears complete and original. 50143-4 JS (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1541
