Brass, iron, and wood model with large traction wheel that is connected to a gear mechanism that when activated puts the sidebar blades in motion when pulled along the floor. A second lever raises and lowers the right wheel to allow it to turn. Wooden seat sits above gear mechanism beside a hinged top box. Wooden tongue folds for storage within its original wooden carrying case. Accompanied by printer’s block picturing similar sickle bar mower. SIZE: 16″ w x 7-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Very good overall. Appears to have been partially cleaned removing years of grime. Case is generally good with oil cloth covering showing advanced deterioration. Missing handle. 1-14404 (2,500-4,500) – Lot 1528a
