CASED COLT ROOT. Model 2, SN 10621 all matching, in the original walnut case lined with dark green velvet, with unlabeled ELEY cap tin, “L” shaped blue screwdriver, brass flask embossed on both sides with eagle on hummock, and brass mold with “COLTS/PATENT” iron sprue cutter. CONDITION: Reblued cylinder with very fine scene, balance of the pistol excellent with over 95% bright glossy blue and very light signs of wear. Slightly dulled casehardened hammer and lever. Grip about excellent and original Colt, but probably not original to this gun. Case very fine with key and now with a heavy wax finish over the varnish, the lid with a slight grain stress crack, the lining very fine. Very good to fine accessories. 4-46211 (3,000-4,500)
