CASED M1849 COLT. SN 216170, all matching. 6” bbl with 1-line “US AMERICA” address, 6-shot cylinder, large brass triggerguard. In the original walnut case with correct flask embossed on both sides with stars, eagle, crossed revolvers and banner, brass “COLTS/PATENT” mold, combination nipple wrench screwdriver, tin of “WINCHESTER” caps with blue label, and a packet of “COLT”, etc. paper cartridges. CONDITION: Complete and original throughout. Pistol with 95% bright glossy blue, excellent lightly rolled scene. Frame, hammer and loading lever with all the very slightly dulled case hardened finish. Brass straps with 95% silver plate, some wear at the bottom rear of the backstrap. Excellent varnished walnut grip with a few very light handling marks. Flask very fine to excellent, crisp age toned minty mould with a few minor marks on one side. Excellent blued nipple wrench, about fine cap tin, very fine unopened cartridge packet with unusually heavy original varnish finish. 4-46208 (5,000-7,000)
