CASED COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET REVOLVER. SN 226438/L all matching. Cal. 31, 5-shot, 4″ oct. bbl with standard markings. In a fine reproduction case with some accessories. CONDITION: 60% bright blue on the bbl with a few dents around the wedge and some light surface rust and flaking mostly on the left side. Cylinder has no blue but has a sharp cylinder scene with light pitting at the front. Two of the pins show damage, the other three are fine. The loading lever has bright case-hardening colors. Flats of the frame have about 50% fading case colors, hammer is dark on the sides but has some color on the back. Grips have 96% varnish with wear at the high spots and minor dent and dings. Faint traces of silver on the backstrap and triggerguard. Screws all have brilliant blue. Top of the case has minor dents and scratches. The maroon interior is new as is the reproduction flask. Bullet mold has been polished and chemically toned, reproduction label inside the lid has been artificially aged. 4-46214 (3,000-4,000)
