Highlighted by a soft paste mug with elaborate military transfer decoration “Cornwallis Resigning His Sword at York Town, October 19, 1781” with peal glaze and copper luster rim, two ceramic mugs with transfer decoration “Football”, soft paste mug with copper luster band and transfer decoration “Little Robin Redbreast”, soft paste pearl glaze mug “Grandmamma’s Tales”, pearl ware sporting mug “Cricket”, pearl ware mug with black Americana scene, soft paste mug with quotation, and china mug with birds. Together with stick sponge decorated plate with “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” transfer scene and Staffordshire covered box with baby and toys. SIZE: Mugs range in height from 2″ to 2-3/4″ t. Plate is 6-1/2″ dia, Box 5-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: From a Maine collection. CONDITION: Mugs range in condition from very good to minor chips and hairlines with one football mug with handle off but intact. Plate in good condition with minor hairline and under glaze chip.
